Chris Hanna and Jessica Hanna address multiple mechanical failures on Blue Pearl while cruising from Mazatlán to La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. An electrician repairs the refrigerator compressor by rewiring it, though the 4kw generator remains inoperable pending a water pump rebuild.2:47 The crew also replaces the VHF antenna to resolve a two-year-old signal issue and inspects the radar, suspecting a snapped internal band.7:28 During the passage to La Cruz, the crew motors through dense fishing gear, snagging a line that had entangled a sea turtle.14:24 They successfully cut the line and release the turtle.15:19 Upon arrival in La Cruz, the crew travels by bus to Puerto Vallarta for a day trip before saying goodbye to a friend departing for French Polynesia.15:43 The crew confirms that rewiring the compressor resolved the refrigeration failure, while navigating through offshore fishing lines requires constant engine monitoring to avoid entanglement.2:47
