Gone with the Wynns · video

¿Qué cubre este video?

Jason Wynn and Nikki Wynn initiate their first voyage on a newly purchased boat by coordinating with a broker, Kent, to navigate from Vero Beach, Florida, toward West Palm Beach.0:27 Because the insurance policy restricts the owners from sailing the vessel alone initially, Kent assists with the transit to ensure compliance.0:16 The crew motor-sails in light east-southeast winds of 9 knots, navigating the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) and managing bridge clearances.3:53 Logistics involve multiple rental car trips to position vehicles for the departure.4:15 The crew anchors for the first time at Elders, a short distance south of their starting point.7:31 During the transit, the owners monitor their two cats for signs of stress and practice basic seamanship, including tying a bowline knot using a mnemonic device involving a pond and a tree.9:25 The experience highlights the logistical complexity of managing boat ownership, insurance requirements, and transit planning for novice sailors.
