Matt and Kristen renovate an abandoned structure on their land to create a multi-functional utility space for their RV living setup.0:46 They clear debris, remove a dry-rotted porch, and salvage aluminum roofing panels from a nearby hillside to construct a makeshift 80-square-foot shelter.1:48 The repurposed building provides storage for tools, a generator, and a future laundry area, while clearing clutter from the exterior of their RV.19:57 To power their 12-volt systems, they install 200-watt Bougie RV Yuma SIG solar panels, which feature flexible, rollable technology that performs well in the shaded, low-light conditions of the rainforest.6:18 The crew also transitions their chickens to free-range status and continues caring for three kittens on the property.23:11 By reusing existing materials and rebar, the project costs seven dollars in hardware.21:02 The renovation successfully organizes their workspace and provides a protected area for equipment, improving the efficiency of their off-grid homestead.20:41
