Micha prepares his boat for the upcoming season by performing extensive maintenance while the vessel is on the hard. He applies seven coats of antifouling paint to the hull and rudder, replaces the saildrive oil, and services the propeller with Hempel spray. To improve sail handling, he installs a second forestay fitting on the mast, securing it with six rivets and adding a new roller furling block. He also replaces the gooseneck fitting to eliminate creaking and installs a new Windex wind indicator. During the mast-stepping process, he installs new deck boots to ensure a watertight seal. After completing these repairs, the boat is launched back into the water. The planned route includes a stop in Rostock followed by a visit to a sailmaker in Stralsund.
