Charter yacht ownership programs allow individuals to purchase vessels, place them into a professional charter fleet, and generate income to offset ownership costs. Navigare Yachting operates two primary models: a guaranteed income program and a variable revenue-share program. The guaranteed program provides a fixed annual return of 8.5% to 10% of the boat's cost for up to seven years, while the variable program offers an 80/20 revenue split between the owner and the management company. Owners typically finance 80% of the vessel cost with a 20% down payment. The variable program may offer tax advantages, including accelerated depreciation, which can provide significant tax savings for owners in higher brackets.

Management companies handle all maintenance, slip fees, and insurance, often utilizing digital tracking systems to manage repairs and provide owners with transparency. Owners receive up to 12 weeks of annual usage time, which can be used on their own boat or others within the fleet, and some programs allow trading sailing weeks for land-based luxury accommodations. At the end of the contract term, owners may choose to exit the program, trade the vessel for a new model, or take the boat for personal long-term cruising.
