Cosa tratta questo video

Ann-Elin and Sam depart Langkawi, Malaysia aboard their catamaran Catfish after roughly one year of living aboard, marking the start of an eastward passage toward Australia.1:50 The first year produced few miles but extensive boat work: three months in Phuket included dropping the mast, deep cleaning, and fitting a new lazy bag and sail from Rolly Tasker.1:36 A detour to the Andaman Islands — prompted by waiting for a replacement dinghy — reignited their motivation to keep moving.0:03 Before leaving Langkawi for good, they beached Catfish on a sandbar at Talaga to scrape the bottom, briefly ran aground on the falling tide, and freed her on the flood.20:26 Interior work included repainting the saloon, kitchen, and office, and refacing the electronics panel in black wood foil.21:52 They also re-hiked Gunung Macingchang — a previous attempt ended in cloud — and this time reached the summit with clear views.8:50 A dead electric winch meant hoisting the mainsail by hand.6:04 The boat moved from the marina to Talaga Bay for a final month before departure.2:51 The first year confirmed that flexibility and boat-improvement time matter more than distance covered early in a long-distance cruise.1:06
