Leading the Escapade · video

Cosa tratta questo video

After months of boat damage and repairs, Jason and Janae relaunch Escapade in Bocas del Toro, Panama, and spend the episode testing the Antigravity A1 drone — a 249-gram FPV drone with immersive goggles — rather than addressing the outstanding boatyard situation, which they defer to the next episode.0:12 The A1's light weight keeps it under registration thresholds in many countries, a practical advantage for cruisers crossing borders.2:21 Jason and Janae run initial test flights from land in the boatyard, then take the drone to Bocas del Toro island by scooter for longer flights, and finish with a launch from Escapade's deck.7:41 Key observations: the goggles' built-in forward-facing camera lets pilots check the controller without removing the headset; obstacle avoidance must be switched off near mast rigging and lines when landing on a boat, and the A1 makes that setting accessible mid-flight; a built-in flight simulator lets new pilots practice before flying the real drone; and the 360-degree capture means pilots can fly directionally without framing precisely, then use the Deep Track feature in the Studio app to select a subject and let AI handle tracking in post.18:48 The episode is sponsored by Antigravity and acknowledges GoFundMe donors and Patreon supporters who funded the repair period.1:08
