A pre-departure boat inspection at the GGR 2026 Race Village in Les Sables-d'Olonne captures a crew working through a formal checklist and electrical installation aboard a GGR entry.2:41:03 The inspection checklist covers: 206 liters of water, 9 sails, full storage documentation, photographs, mast and interior room length, spars and rigging certificate, two spinnaker poles, design layout matching the original, and propeller meeting original design speed.2:42:23 A technician installs and wires a Starlink unit, clarifying that a separate "box of tricks" draws only an internet connection from the Starlink cable via an FMC cable and is not part of the Starlink power circuit.2:43:38 The main battery supplies the system at roughly one amp for one device and three amps for another; a fuse is added for protection.2:45:07 Heat-shrink sleeving on the Starlink cable's exposed negative terminal is left for the following morning.2:46:22 A backup charging system via USB is planned.2:45:28 Solar panel wiring is deferred.2:45:42 A boat inspection is scheduled for 4 p.m. that afternoon.2:44:10 The audio quality throughout is poor, with large sections of ambient crowd noise and fragmented conversation.
