Cosa tratta questo video

A couple living aboard a sailboat in the Mediterranean performs a DIY mattress replacement to save costs, opting for two 12-centimeter foam mattresses from IKEA and 5-centimeter memory foam toppers from Amazon.12:37 The crew transports the foam via tender and scooter from a store to their boat, navigating gusty conditions during the return trip.13:39 To fit the irregular, curved dimensions of the V-berth, they use the existing bed frame as a template and cut the foam with a standard knife.18:11 The project results in uneven edges and sliding mattresses because they failed to account for the hull's curvature and used an inadequate cutting tool.17:58 The crew recommends using a hot knife or electric bread knife, cutting on a flat surface on land, and using a plastic sheet for the template rather than the bed base.18:01 They also note that for V-berth shapes, careful planning of the layout on the foam slab can minimize waste.21:59
