The Farr PHASE 4 is a 12.0-meter masthead sloop designed by Bruce Farr and built by Binks Yacht Constructions from 1988 to the present. It features a fin keel with a bulb and a spade rudder, a beam of 3.8 meters, a draft of 1.7 meters, and a displacement of 5908 kg. The design has a sail area to displacement ratio of 18.4 and a comfort ratio of 20.5. Andy Schell of 59° North Sailing considers a sail-area-to-displacement ratio between 17 and 19 to be a "sweet spot" for offshore sailboats, placing the Farr PHASE 4 within this range.16:50
