Johan and Malin are preparing to flip the 50-foot hull of their custom-built boat at their farm, a process necessitated by the barn's limited ceiling height.20:41 To rotate the hull, Johan constructed four custom support frames—or "square wheels"—designed to cradle the hull and allow it to roll.0:56 The operation involves lifting the hull with 5-ton hydraulic bottle jacks and mechanical farm jacks, then placing it on caster wheels to move it out of the barn on plywood tracks.12:37 Once outside, the team plans to pull the hull sideways using wooden rollers before using a chain hoist and Dyneema lines anchored to a large tree to complete the rotation.15:21 A neighbor’s tractor will serve as a counterweight to stabilize the tree during the pull.16:58 The couple opted to manage the complex, multi-step process independently to maintain control and avoid the time constraints of hiring professional crane services.11:35
