Arthur continues the restoration of a 42-foot catamaran in the Netherlands, focusing on structural repairs to the hull and deck to prepare for mast installation. After identifying rot in the deck and hull, he seals exterior gaps with low-density filler and fiberglass patches. He installs plywood backing plates to reinforce the future chain plate locations, though he discovers additional moisture trapped in the hull foam due to the boat's forward lean. To manage electrical needs without a permanent shore power system, he replaces a large power bank with a smaller Bluetti lithium unit and a 350-watt solar panel. He uses USB-rechargeable magnetic spot lamps for interior lighting as autumn weather limits outdoor work. The project remains in the refit phase, with upcoming tasks including engine mounting and mast beam fabrication.
