Sven Yrvind refines the hatch edges on his boat to ensure a precise, level fit. He uses a large sheet of sandpaper mounted on a flat surface to grind down high spots on the hatch edges, creating a flat mating surface.▶ 1:33 After sanding, he rounds the edges to finish the profile.▶ 2:25 To finalize the seal, he plans to level the boat and pour low-viscosity Enum Infusion Epoxy into the bottom of the gasket channels.▶ 4:06 This process addresses uneven surfaces left after initial construction and ensures the hatches seat properly against the rail. The work requires manual grinding to achieve a close fit between the hatch and the deck structure.
