Hva denne videoen dekker
The 50-foot former fishing trawler *Brupeg* completes a coastal transit along the east coast of Queensland, Australia, navigating from Scorfell Island through the Whitsunday Islands to Airlie Beach. To manage deteriorating weather and fatigue, the crew breaks the passage into short hops, utilizing *Cruising the Coral Coast* by Alan Lucas for anchorage planning. Navigation relies on OpenCPN with the Watchdog plugin for anchor alarms and Starlink for satellite imagery of coral reefs. The vessel maintains a cruising speed of seven knots at 1100 RPM, consuming approximately 24 liters of fuel per hour. Upon arrival at the Airlie Beach marina rock wall, the crew experiences 25- to 40-knot winds, confirming the holding power of the anchorage despite the difficulty of retrieving the anchor from the mud. The crew utilizes Team Torx Bluetooth headsets for communication during docking and dinghy operations. Maintenance tasks include manual greasing of the prop shaft and rudder stock via a modified grease gun system and cleaning the anchor with a fire hose.
