Sven Yrvind modifies the hull structure of his boat in Västervik, Sweden, to install insulation and create a window near the galley area. He uses an angle grinder to flatten surfaces for better insulation fit and considers using tape to waterproof the seams. To route lines through the hull, he experiments with two methods: pushing a 6mm stainless steel rod through the conduit and using a long stick to guide the lines. He plans to drill a hole in the rod to attach a string for pulling the lines through the structure. The work includes preparing the interior for a window that will overlook the ocean. Yrvind maintains a routine of one meal a day, often consisting of deep-frozen blueberries, and takes evening runs near the water for inspiration. He notes that the landscape in Västervik, with trees extending to the water's edge, differs from his native west coast of Sweden.
