Sven Yrvind installs cable conduits for navigation lights into the side-by-side masts of his custom high-latitude, shallow-draft boat.▶ 0:03 He embeds the conduits into grooves along the masts using Nils Malmgren epoxy.▶ 1:53 During the initial installation, he encountered air bubbles in the epoxy and risked clogging the conduit holes with resin.▶ 1:29 To prevent these issues on subsequent masts, he now plugs the conduit ends with silicone before pouring the epoxy.▶ 1:42 He also modifies his technique by applying the epoxy in a way that forces air out as the conduit is seated into the groove.▶ 4:19 These refinements ensure a clean, bubble-free finish for the wiring channels.
