The crew removes old adhesive residue from the plexiglass using an adhesive remover spray and a plastic scraper, noting that acetone proved ineffective for thick layers. To ensure a watertight seal, they plan to apply epoxy to the surrounding wood frame and use a black primer to protect the adhesive from UV degradation. The owners emphasize the importance of painting the exterior frame to shield the sealant from sun damage. While working on the boat, the crew also manages daily tasks, including food preparation and addressing ongoing administrative delays regarding their stay at the marina. The project remains a slow, iterative process as they balance maintenance with the challenges of living aboard a boat in a yard.
