The Swedish Coast Guard vessel Amphitrite, also designated KBV 003, is an 81-meter, 16-meter beam multi-purpose ship designed for oil spill recovery, towing, and customs enforcement.2:54 It features six diesel engines producing 12,112 horsepower, two electrical propulsion pods, and an extractable 1,140-horsepower bow thruster.4:57 The ship maintains a top speed of 16 knots and can navigate through 50-centimeter-thick ice at a constant 4 knots.6:35 To operate in contaminated environments, the vessel utilizes an over-pressurized air filtration system.7:15 The ship requires a minimum crew of 13 for active operations, though nine personnel can transit the vessel between ports.3:31 The ship is equipped with specialized heating systems to process cold, viscous oil recovered from the sea.5:59 Following the ship tour, the visit concludes at the former Kockums shipyard in Malmö, which hosted the 2019 European Street Food Awards.12:12
