Beyond on-the-water training, the project maintains specialized workshops for fiberglass repair, marine carpentry, and electrical and electronic systems.5:51 Students gain practical experience by performing maintenance on the organization's fleet of sailboats and outboard motors. The curriculum also includes social development themes and a "Banco de Proeiros" program, which connects students with local skippers to serve as crew in regattas. Many instructors are former students who returned to the project to teach after completing their training. Enrollment requires proof of public school attendance and a medical certificate. The project relies on donations from individuals and corporations to sustain its infrastructure and educational programs.
