What this video covers

The generator on the catamaran Mistertong failed due to a faulty control board, leaving the crew without onboard power for laundry, water production, or battery charging. After troubleshooting a blown 5A fuse, the owners confirmed the electronic control unit requires replacement, a difficult part to source in Martinique. While awaiting a repair solution, the crew relocated to Caritan to utilize shore-based laundry facilities and recharge batteries. Simultaneously, the owner continued structural repairs on the vessel, specifically reinforcing internal plywood sections with resin and fiberglass. Access constraints prevented full external repairs, so the owner opted for internal reinforcement, scarfing joints, and sealing the wood with colloidal silica-thickened resin. The crew also re-rigged the boom and adjusted the bridle in anticipation of incoming wind and rain. The vessel remains operational for living, though the lack of a functional generator necessitates reliance on shore infrastructure for maintenance tasks.
