What this video covers

The British Virgin Islands require same-day online reservations for mooring balls, which cost $55 per night and open at 7:00 a.m. Demand is high, often resulting in all available moorings being booked within seconds. When reservations are unavailable, sailors must rely on first-come, first-served moorings. At the Baths on Virgin Gorda, day-use moorings fill quickly, and cruise ship traffic can force one-way pedestrian flow through the rock formations. Proper mooring technique involves running two lines through the eyelet, each secured to its own bow cleat. The area around Virgin Gorda, including Necker Island, Sabre Rock, and the Bitter End Yacht Club, has undergone significant reconstruction following damage from Hurricane Irma in 2017. Sabre Rock features a large mooring field and hosts daily tarpon feedings at 5:00 p.m. Navigar Yachting operates a charter fleet in the region, offering yacht ownership programs and organized flotilla sailing events.
