What this video covers

Victron is discontinuing the Lynx Distributor M8 and replacing it with the Lynx Distributor M10, and the sole mechanical difference is that the main busbar holes and end-link studs grow from M8 to M10 threads.▶ 1:09 The fuse-holder studs and negative busbar studs remain M8, so existing wiring-kit lugs still fit.▶ 1:29 Nate walks through a tabletop wiring demo using the EXPLORIST life Lynx Distributor M10 wiring kit, which swaps the previously used Blue Sea master disconnect for a 400-amp BEP switch whose faceplate separates from the body, allowing wire termination before the switch is mounted to the wall.▶ 4:19 A Victron Smart Shunt or BMV 712 shunt mounts directly to the distributor's negative busbar; 3D-printed cat-eye and round spacers, glued with super glue, keep the assembly flush on the wall.▶ 5:13 The demo also covers substituting a Lynx Smart BMS M10 or Lynx Shunt M10 in place of the Smart Shunt, using a nut-bolt assembly on the negative busbar instead of a Lynx Power N. The wiring kit also replaces ANL fuses with Class T fuses and Class T fuse holders, bringing 400-amp systems into ABYC compliance on interrupting capacity — a gap Nate says existed in previous kits for roughly four years.▶ 10:18
