What this video covers

The Sailing Academy operates as an American Sailing Association (ASA) certified school and sailboat club based in Deal, Maryland, on the Chesapeake Bay.1:05 Established in the early 2000s, the organization provides instruction and club access to a fleet ranging from 30-foot to 50-foot vessels.0:37 The school specifically excludes small tiller-steered boats, focusing instead on training students for cruising on larger yachts.1:28 The Beneteau First 30, referred to as the Vico 30, serves as the primary training platform because it features wheel steering and inboard diesel engines, mirroring the systems found on larger charter and cruising boats.1:53 The curriculum emphasizes building proficiency and confidence for students who intend to transition into independent cruising or chartering.0:55 The school maintains a long-standing presence at the Annapolis Boat Show, utilizing the event to reconnect with alumni who have progressed to owning or chartering their own vessels.2:31
