What this video covers

Johan and Malin are fairing the hull of their custom-built boat at Sunhill Farm.0:21 After four weeks of sanding the topsides, they achieved a smooth finish by using a random orbital sander followed by extensive longboarding.3:13 To identify low spots, Johan applied a guide coat and inspected the surface with a low-angle light and a laser.5:08 They used the waterline as a reference plane, verified by measurements taken from 3D design drawings, to ensure accuracy across the hull.13:31 To protect the finished topsides from dust and debris, they masked the area with plastic before beginning work on the bottom section.12:14 For the bottom, they applied fairing compound using smaller spatulas to accommodate the tight working space while crawling on the hull surface.16:09 They utilize Sundström Safety fan-assisted respirators to manage the significant volume of fiberglass and epoxy dust generated during the process.2:21
