What this video covers
Matt and Kristen demolish an abandoned farmhouse on their 8-acre off-grid property in Puerto Rico to clear space for future construction.0:45 The structure’s foundation proved too thin and weak for reuse, prompting the decision to clear the site entirely.4:36 During the demolition, a heavy truck delivering rock for a new driveway slid off the mountain edge; the crew successfully recovered the vehicle by offloading weight and using chains.13:56 The team subsequently completed a gravel pad for their RV and finished grouting a herringbone-patterned tile project at the property entrance, correcting a previous color error by switching from "Sand Drift" gray to "Sand Beach" cream.20:00 The couple plans to begin permitting for a permanent house build in the coming weeks, with a target completion date of August 2025.28:35 The project provided practical experience in concrete work, block laying, and tile installation, increasing the owner's confidence for the upcoming home construction.27:45
