What this video covers
Matt and Kristen manage an unexpected birth of twin dwarf goats while attempting a concrete pour for a front entryway at their property.0:34 The goats, named Sunny and Sugar, initially struggled to nurse, requiring manual intervention to clear a waxy plug from the mother’s teats and ensure the kids received colostrum.4:25 To protect the newborns from predators and the adult male goat, the pair are housed in a modified chicken coop.6:12
Simultaneously, the couple struggles with a concrete project in a confined space between three walls.8:47 After underestimating the amount of cement required, they supplement the mix with gravel and switch to manual mixing when their power mixer overheats.17:34 The pour results in a messy finish, with blue tape failing to prevent concrete splatter on the surrounding stucco.19:08 The pair plans to cover the uneven slab with travertine tile to improve the aesthetic.22:24 The goats remain healthy and active five days post-birth.24:21
