What this video covers
Brittany and Jeremiah struggle to repair a malfunctioning Spectra watermaker on their boat, which suffers from a broken brine water discharge fitting. After failed attempts to seal the connection using epoxy, Marine adhesive sealant, and a Whale quick-disconnect fitting, the unit continues to leak under pressure. The crew considers bypassing the internal plumbing by removing the membrane and hanging the watermaker off the side of the boat to discharge brine directly into the ocean. The boat also carries a Sea Water Pro unit, but it remains non-functional due to two dry-rotted membranes from two years of storage. While troubleshooting the generator, Jeremiah identifies a kinked hose between the strainer and the water pump, which successfully lowers the generator's operating temperature from 221 to 188 degrees. The crew eventually decides to abandon the repair of the current Spectra fitting and plans to replace the system upon returning to Florida.
