The Alubat 58 is a 17.9-meter aluminum staysail ketch designed by Philippe Briand and built by Alubat since 2007. It features a fin keel with a spade rudder, a 5.1-meter beam, and a 2.4-meter draft, displacing 16,156 kg. A centerboard variant offers a draft range from 1.35 meters (board up) to 2.95 meters (board down), with a displacement of 25,000 kg and 9,200 kg of ballast, 800 kg of which is in the centerboard. The Alubat 58's heavy displacement and robust construction are suited for ocean crossings and long-distance voyaging.
