The Greenwich 24 is a masthead sloop with a long keel, designed by George H. Stadel Jr. and built by Allied Boat Co. Inc. from 1968 to 1972. It measures 7.4 m LOA, with a 2.2 m beam, 0.9 m draft, and displaces 1735 kg.6:50 In 1972, the design was sold to the Cape Dory Company, which then produced it as the Cape Dory 25, incorporating a new deck and coach roof.6:11 The Cape Dory 25, a direct descendant of the Greenwich 24, features a masthead sloop rig, a 4,000-pound displacement, and a fixed long keel.6:30 These fiberglass hulls are known for their robust construction and affordability, maintaining an active owner community.
