The Lagoon 500 is a 15.5-meter fractional sloop catamaran with twin keels, designed by Van Peteghem and Lauriot Prevost, and built by Lagoon from 2005 to 2012. It has a beam of 8.5 meters, a draft of 1.4 meters, and displaces 17,603 kg. Sailing Sunday considered purchasing a Lagoon 500 but withdrew from a contract after discovering significant structural issues.2:45 The Lagoon 500 was later replaced by the Lagoon 52.
