Design & history
Originally called ROLAND 36, the NACRA 36 was the first boat created for the North American Catamaran Racing Association (NACRA) with a one-design fleet in mind. After low interest, a scaled-down version (NACRA 5.2) was developed, and the design was significantly reworked in the mid-1990s for production in Australia.
