The Prout Ltd. Snowgoose 37 Elite is a 11.3-meter cutter-rigged catamaran with twin keels, designed by Prout and built by Prout Ltd. from 1986 onward. It is an updated version of the Snowgoose 37, featuring increased beam and hull shape modifications, part of a series that saw over 500 units built. Aboard *The Sailing Brothers*' catamaran, named Atlas, the crew undertakes extensive passages, including a 47-mile transit in the Bahamas in 18-to-25-knot winds and an 82.5-mile overnight sail in Vanuatu without engine use.14:04 They manage sail plans by reefing the main and furling the genoa as conditions change, and navigate island passages using a wind vane.2:50 The crew performs maintenance such as applying lacquer to the cabin table and conducting osmosis repairs on rudders and keels, addressing saturated foam cores and water ingress with fiberglass, epoxy, and fairing compound.3:46 They have refitted the boat with new tri-radial cut sails, including a mainsail with three reefs, and a 20-kilogram Rocna Mark 2 anchor.1:45 The crew plans to replace nine-year-old standing rigging and apply KiwiGrip deck paint.3:46
