The Beneteau Oceanis 390 is a masthead sloop designed by Philippe Briand, built by Beneteau from 1987 to the present, with an overall length of 11.7 meters, a beam of 3.9 meters, and a displacement of 6486 kg. It features a fin keel with a spade rudder, and a wing keel option was also available. Aboard *Manwë*, a Beneteau Oceanis 390, Damien and Anaïs sailed around Huahine and transited to Bora Bora in the Leeward Islands of French Polynesia, reporting comfortable conditions and no mechanical issues during coastal cruising.5:35 Damien also constructed custom fender covers for *Manwë* using colorfast fabric, a process that took 90 minutes by hand for a 60 cm by 70 cm fender.1:03
