ST Francis 50

The St FRANCIS 50 is a 15.2-meter fractional sloop catamaran designed by Angelo Lavranos and built by St. Francis Marine since 2006. It features a twin keel hull, an 8.0-meter beam, a 1.2-meter draft, and displaces 12,500 kg. The MK II variant includes two 57 hp saildrive motors. Its sail plan comprises an 88 m2 mainsail, a 56 m2 genoa, a 173 m2 asymmetrical spinnaker, a 104 m2 Code 0, and a 19 m2 staysail. Aboard RAN Sailing, Johan and Malin are custom-building a 50-foot sailboat, the RAN 50, using a four-layer fiberglass and epoxy laminate for the interior hull, applying two layers of 450-gram fiberglass cloth per length.3:31
