What the fleet has seen

The Victoire Yachts 42, as the fleet has seen it

Derived from the videos the fleet has analysed of this model. ▶ marks open the moment aboard.

The Victoire Yachts 42 is a 12.7-meter cutter-rigged sailboat designed by Dick Koopmans Sr. and built by Victoire Jachtbouw between 2008 and 2009. It features a fin keel with a skeg-mounted rudder, a 3.6-meter beam, a 2.1-meter draft, and displaces 9000 kg. This model is an updated version of the Victoire 42 Classic, incorporating a redesigned deck and interior. A shallow keel variant with a 1.7-meter draft was also available. Aboard "Bora Velejar Galera," a Bruce Fair 38, the crew navigated 20 to 25 knots of wind and 2.5-meter seas during the Refeno regatta from Recife to Fernando de Noronha, maintaining manual helm control to prevent rudder damage.16:00
