The Cal 2-29 is a 8.8-meter masthead sloop designed by C. William Lapworth and built by Jensen Marine from 1974 to 1978. It is a cruising variant of the Cal 29, introduced later but built concurrently, featuring upgraded standard equipment. The Cal 2-29 has a fin keel with a spade rudder, a beam of 2.8 meters, a draft of 1.4 meters, and a displacement of 3628 kg. Standard features include a diesel engine, pressurized shower, pedestal steering, a vanity with medicine chest, an electric bilge pump, an extra water tank, and a shore power system.
