The Fp 41 is a 12.1-meter fractional sloop catamaran designed by Berret-Racoupeau and built by Fountaine Pajot, replacing the Astrea 42 in their lineup. It features a twin keel hull, a 6.9-meter beam, and a 1.4-meter draft, displacing 12,700 kg. The model offers optional propulsion systems, including twin 30 hp diesel engines or twin 25 kW electric motors that provide hydrogeneration while sailing. Aboard *Practical Sailor*, the electric system generated 1.5 kilowatts per motor at 8 knots boat speed, supported by a 2-kilowatt solar array and a 24-kilowatt diesel generator.1:33 The Fp 41 has a mid-level helm station with all lines led aft, though the raised position creates a blind spot beneath the jib. Its hull incorporates a hard chine for improved upwind performance. Interior layouts include an owner’s version or a four-cabin configuration, with a design that removes the traditional chart table to increase salon space.4:15 The owner’s cabin features a vanity and large windows.5:21
