The Fp 41 is a 12.1-meter fractional sloop catamaran designed by Berret-Racoupeau and built by Fountaine Pajot, replacing the Astrea 42 in their lineup. It features a twin keel hull, a 6.9-meter beam, a 1.4-meter draft, and displaces 12,700 kg. The Fp 41 offers optional propulsion systems, including twin 30 hp diesel engines or twin 25 kW electric motors, with the electric option capable of hydrogeneration at speeds above 8 knots. It has a main sail area of 65 m², a genoa area of 35 m², and a gennaker area of 110 m².2:17 The design includes a mid-level helm station with all lines led aft, though this position creates a blind spot beneath the jib.1:57 The hull incorporates a hard chine for improved upwind performance and stability.0:58 Interior configurations include an owner’s version with a private hull or a four-cabin layout, emphasizing interior volume and amenities like full-sized refrigerators.3:22 The Fp 41 also features integrated solar panels flush with the deck and an optional electric propulsion system with a diesel generator that activates when battery capacity drops below 40%.2:07 The interior design removes the traditional chart table to increase salon space, and the owner’s cabin includes a vanity and large windows.4:15
