Qué cubre este vídeo
The owners of the refitted vessel Good, Bad, and Ugly identify several design flaws encountered after four months of full-time living aboard. The companionway door, originally designed with 180-degree hinges, failed to clear the frame lip, creating a hazard; the owner corrected this by routing the frame to allow the door to slide and sit flush. A push-out trash drawer lacked a handle, making it difficult to open when full, which the crew resolved by installing a spare slider handle. To address poor drainage in a flat-bottomed rectangular galley sink, the crew shimmed the unit with PVC to create a slope toward the drain. Other oversights include a lack of dedicated fan mounting points in the salon, an undersized closet pull-down bar, and an improperly placed electrical outlet behind the liquor locker that requires the locker to remain open during use. The crew also notes the risks of reusing old electrical breakers, which have become loose and unreliable.
