Qué cubre este vídeo

Installing a new Beta 20 diesel engine in an Alberg 30 requires significant modifications to the exhaust system and engine mounts to ensure proper alignment and prevent seawater ingestion.13:36 Because the engine sits below the waterline, a high-rise exhaust elbow and an anti-siphon loop are necessary to prevent back-siphoning.2:51 When replacing an engine, the existing prop shaft flange may not match the new gearbox coupling, requiring a custom-ordered part.12:46 During the installation, the owner also replaced a worn cutlass bearing by having a larger unit machined down to the required 1 3/8-inch size.15:20 To secure the new cutlass bearing, the owner coated it in epoxy resin before tapping it into place and tightening the lock screws.29:12 The engine installation process involves rough alignment, drilling new holes in the engine bed arms, and plumbing a new 18-gallon poly fuel tank.36:12 Proper alignment requires bolting the coupling to the gearbox before securing the flange to the prop shaft to maintain access to the mounting nuts.41:38
