Qué cubre este vídeo
Alex Rosén, a Norwegian entertainer and sailor, discusses a sailing life spanning decades, from childhood boat shows in the 1970s with his father — who bought a Finnseiler 38 from Fiskars — through offshore racing and Arctic voyaging.0:39 He crewed with Jarle Bersheiken on a passage through Russian waters via the White Sea and Belomorsk canal to St. Petersburg, where Russian authorities assigned a new pilot every hundred meters until Rosén refused and kept one pilot aboard to St. Petersburg. The crew was shadowed by Russian naval vessels throughout. He also describes riding out heavy weather hove-to for four days, during which a supply ship nearly struck the boat at three meters. His best race result was fourth place in the 2016 Helly Hansen Skagen Race aboard a Dehler 38 he also owned with Morten Abel.3:33 He sailed to 82.2 degrees north, roughly 70–80 nautical miles north of Rossøya on Svalbard, naming his boat Kap Laura after a mountain visible from that position. He is now looking at a Heymann 42 and a Moody 54 for long-distance cruising, favoring a deck saloon for offshore family passages.
