To reduce strain on the steering system, the crew monitors rudder angle on their chartplotter, adjusting sail plan to keep rudder movement minimal. Despite encountering light winds and occasional calms, the vessel continues its circumnavigation attempt. Consistent maintenance of onboard systems and daily weather analysis remain critical to managing the vessel’s performance in high-latitude conditions.
