A Ford Transit AWD receives a Van Compass lift kit in a full DIY installation covering both the rear leaf-spring pack and the front strut spacers.Watch At the rear, Nate measures baseline ride height (31⅛ inches driver side, 31⅜ inches passenger side), removes the factory U-bolts and disconnects the rear shock, lowers the axle housing to the ground to create clearance, then sandwiches the Van Compass leaf pack between the axle housing and factory leaf springs using the original center-pin holes.3:07 The factory shock mount bracket is trimmed and painted to improve differential clearance before installing the new adjustable Van Compass shocks, set to position 2 of 4.5:12 A bump-stop spacer completes the rear.10:29 At the front, Nate removes the strut assembly, uses coil compressors to swap in the new Van Compass coil, cuts the strut-top studs down to 16 mm to clear the spacer, and torques the spacer nuts to 30 ft-lb — noting that left and right spacers are directional with arrows facing forward.26:27 The lower ball joint nut is torqued to approximately 180 ft-lb.30:24 New tires are Falken Wildpeak AT 245/75/16 on Method wheels, ordered pre-mounted from Tire Rack.37:32 Final measured lift is roughly 4 inches total — about 2–2.5 inches from the kit and the remainder from the larger tires.38:14 A post-installation alignment at a professional shop is mandatory.35:27
