Mechanics performed the work in San Diego, restoring the van's cruise control and braking systems. The owners noted that the axle seal failure was a complex repair that required professional intervention rather than DIY troubleshooting. Following the repair, the van is being prepared for a trip to Oklahoma, where the owners plan to swap summer gear for winter equipment and conduct a full inventory of their onboard supplies.
