The repair involves using an angle grinder to cut the seized windlass shaft after traditional methods, including heat and lubricants, fail to loosen the component. The crew also documents snorkeling in a 20-meter deep Blue Hole surrounded by coral and encounters local marine life, including sharks and rays. The successful windlass repair restores the ability to operate the anchor via remote control, allowing the vessel to continue its passage toward the Dominican Republic.
