The 1977 Cherubini 44 cutter, named Meteor, features a cutter rig with twin furling headsails, including a Yankee, staysail, storm jib, and an asymmetric spinnaker. The vessel underwent an extensive refit in 1991 and has received recent updates to its navigation suite, electrical systems, and LED lighting. Power systems include four house batteries replaced in 2024, alongside updated inverters and Mastervolt equipment. The deck layout incorporates an electric windlass, twin poles for downwind sailing, and a cockpit equipped with a mix of electric and manual bronze winches. The helm features an inverted wheel, autopilot, and space for a chart plotter. Below deck, the interior showcases custom joinery, a U-shaped galley with a gas and electric cooker, and a forward shower room with full-height clearance. The boat provides access to the bow locker from the forward head. Meteor recently completed a transit from winter storage in Scotland to Berthon in Lymington, where it is currently ashore and available for viewing.
