Ce que couvre cette vidéo

A singlehanded sailor executes a lasso docking maneuver to bring a boat alongside a dock or another vessel without crew assistance. The technique begins with controlled approach speed, rudder turned gradually toward the target, and a fender positioned at the stern.0:06 The key step is aiming the boat's center at the piling or cleat, then throwing a line around it and immediately taking in all slack without hesitation.0:40 Once the line is secured, the helm goes to neutral, slack is taken up, and the engine is engaged forward with RPM applied progressively.0:58 The boat pivots on the lasso line, pulling the bow in. Alexandros Retsinas emphasizes patience at this stage — giving the boat time to react before adding more throttle, watching the bow for movement as confirmation the maneuver is working.1:12 The practical lesson: commit to taking all slack instantly after the throw, then trust progressive forward throttle to swing the bow rather than rushing the engine.
