The 2011 Southerly 38, named "Moondancer," features a variable-draft swing keel, allowing for shallow-water access and beaching. The vessel is equipped with a self-tacking jib, a 2022-installed larger genoa, and a bowsprit for a Code Zero sail. Deck hardware includes an electric mainsheet winch, a snap-pack mainsail system, and three coach-roof solar panels integrated into a Mastervolt electrical package. The cockpit layout utilizes twin-wheel steering, a swim platform with snap davits, and a Raymarine plotter and radar system updated within the last few years. Below deck, the boat sleeps seven, with a forward cabin convertible between a double or two singles and an aft owner’s cabin with a sprung mattress. The interior includes two heads, one with a recently installed electric toilet, and two separate holding tanks. The hull is copper-coated and receives annual professional servicing. The boat is currently located at Avon Marina in Christchurch, United Kingdom.
