Ce que couvre cette vidéo
The 2026 Golden Globe Race (GGR) prologue serves as a three-day training exercise for entrants departing from Les Sables-d'Olonne, France. Participants navigate toward a designated waypoint after the race committee dissolves the initial start line.1:19:03 The fleet includes various production yachts, notably the Rustler 36, Cape George 36, and Biscay 36.3:45:17 Skippers manage sail trim, including genoas and solents, while balancing boat speed against wind angles.3:28:06 Safety protocols for the transit rely on AIS, Ecomax radar reflectors, and transponders to mitigate collision risks during night watches, as most boats carry small crews rather than sailing solo for this prologue.3:29:27 Electrical management remains a challenge, with some crews running engines to maintain power levels.4:11:41 The event allows entrants to test gear, refine sail configurations, and practice navigation before the main circumnavigation.
