Giuseppe empties bucket overboard in golden light
Ce que couvre cette vidéo
On a 6–7 meter sailboat, a marine toilet is usually too awkward to use while sailing, so Giuseppe removed his, sealed the through-hull, and repurposed the space for storage.1:32 At anchor, he uses the swim ladder directly over the side — fast, clean, and no different from a marine toilet without a black-water tank, which discharges overboard anyway.2:25 Underway, he uses a dedicated bucket, color-coded to avoid any mix-up with the dish-washing bucket.3:00 The technique that keeps it clean: line the bucket with a sheet of newspaper before sitting down.4:12 To empty it, carry the bucket outside, grip the side opposite the paper, dip it into the water, and release the paper edge — the wrapped contents drift free, sink within minutes, and the bucket needs only a quick rinse.4:42 He stresses that bucket size matters; it must be tall enough to sit on comfortably.3:54 The newspaper lining is the key step that makes the whole system work without mess.4:05
